All persons entering the San Bernardino County Jails for the purposes of visiting an inmate are subject to a search of their person and belongings by correction staff and are subject to warrant checks and arrest.  Central Detention Center is located between Hwy 210 and Hwy 10.  All persons entering San Bernardino jails must present acceptable forms of picture identification, including all forms of government identification cards. Visitors must be 18 years or older to visit, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Visitors are only allowed to visit inmates  they signed up t visit.

Visiting Hours are different at every  Correctional facility  in San Bernardino.  So be sure to check with Central Detention Center for their schedule prior to visiting.

Take the North Waterman Avenue Exit towards the mountains
Take Waterman Avenue to Rialto Avenue
Turn Right on East Rialto and drive ¼ mile

Central Detention Center opened in 1971 and served as the main county jail for 20 years until faced with overcorwing issued in the 1980s.  For the past 10 years  CDC has been the primary booking facility for the police and sheriff statioins operating in t he east valley area housing federal and county inmates.
